We learned many things about writing, acting and stage production when we rewrote “The Gold Coin” in play form and staged a performance for our peers.
• It is important to project our voices
• How to decide what of a story becomes narration, spoken by actors, part of the scenery, and acted out through actor’s facial expressions and movements.
• Collaboration of writing, problem solving, sharing jobs
• How to overcome stage fright
• How much we have grown in the past year. (some of us use to have stage fright in third grade, but not in fourth).
• Sometimes we allowed one person to make decisions and be the leader
Hi, I'm George I was in the gold coin to I agree that there was some leader ship involved.
ReplyDeleteOur class enjoyed this performance. You did such a good job adapting the story to a play that we were able to easily follow the plot and understand the moral. We hope you do more performances for us! Miss Lenzi's class
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI was one of the performers. I was the farmer's son and the narrator on scene four. I think we all did a great job!
