Doodle 4 Google
Students in grades 3 & 4 ponder ("If I could do anything, I would"), for the Doodle 4 Google Contest. Snapshots above capture them as they collaborate, research and sketch Discussions brought up by students during this activity were copyright laws, original pieces of artwork, how to be inspired by another person's doodle, can I change it and make it mine? Once students had an opportunity to play with their sketches, amazing doodles appeared!

Collecting Change for Change
BES Alumni shared with students grade K-4 about their recent mission trip to Haiti and the effects of the earthquake. Students then discovered how they can help make a difference in the lives of children in Haiti by "Collecting Change for Change." For 2 weeks students will bring in loose change to support the country as a community. All proceeds will directly benefit the people of Haiti.
