Invention Convention State Wiinners


On Saturday, ten Barrington students competed at the state Invention Convention in Concord.  Over 155 students from 40 schools attended this event.  Barrington Elementary School had several winners:

·     G. Gagne - Best in Fun/Leisure Category “The Boogie Band”
·     R. Settele - Most Marketable “Zippy Spray”
·     J. Carter, M. Hookway, and J. Smith - Most Original and Unique & The Fidelity Investments Technology Award  - “The Flist”
·     H. Hatfield -  Third place in the Electric Specialty Catergory for “The Chloe Alarm”.
·     T. Doyle and F. Doyle - Best Team Effort in the Rube Goldberg Category.

Watercolors - Ms. Lenzi's Class





Ms. Lenzi's Second Grade class and Ms. Sans, art teacher, collaborated on a project for the class' Native American Unit.  Students picked a traditional design and drew it on their pots, then outlined in marker. Watercolor was painted over the drawing to replicate the color of the clay.
